The Los Angeles Energy Atlas is an innovative interactive web atlas that provides decision-makers, researchers and the public with access to the largest database of building energy usage available for all of Los Angeles County. The Atlas connects datasets to create a flexible platform that will prove invaluable for usage statistics and policy analysis. The platform combines data from utilities companies, the U.S. census, building energy consumption data, and climate models, and will be used by countless state and federal agencies as well as local governments and researchers. This groundbreaking project was developed by the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, in partnership with the California Center for Sustainable Communities, the Los Angeles Regional Collaborative for Climate Action and Sustainability, and the Energy Network.
